This is where it all began. The Wright Brothers' efforts at Kitty Hawk embodied the spirit of courage, passion, and independence. Not to mention the resulting Wright Flyer remains one of the coolest silhouettes in aviation!
The shirt is 100% combed cotton. The design on the front is embroidered. The text on the back is screen printed and reads:
"Wright Flyer 1 — This is where it all began. On December 17th, 1903, Wilbur and Orville Wright achieved the first powered flight in the history of mankind at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. The 12hp four cylinder engine drove two pusher propellers through bicycle chains. To steer, the pilot warped the wing with the help of a wire. The elevator plane was attached in front of the airplane. The top speed of this cloth covered wooden airplane was 30 mph."
