The Liberator’s most recognizable feature, its high aspect ratio Davis wing, also made it an incredible useful aircraft, giving it a high cruise altitude, long range, the ability to carry a heavy load. Serving during World War II, it became the first aircraft to make transatlantic journeys as a matter of routine.
