Curtiss Helldiver biplane tie in claret and sky blue

Both a scout plane and a bomber, the Helldiver saw its heyday in the 1920s and 1930s, serving in a variety of missions in the interwar years. This open cockpit biplane was primarily used by the US Army Air Corps, the US Navy, and the US Marine Corps. It was ultimately the last combat biplane manufactured in the United States and purchased by the US Navy, but its image still captures the excitement and daring of the early days of aviation.
