The P-47 Thunderbolt served in World War II as a fighter-bomber ground-attack aircraft. This design shows three airplanes flying against a dusky sunset. Celebrate one of the most iconic warplanes with a cool, comfortable t-shirt in 100% cotton.
Both the design on the front and the text on the back have been silk-screen printed. The front shows a design inspired by the P-47 Thunderbolt, while the text on the back explains the significance of the aircraft, and reads as follows:
"Republic P-47 Thunderbolt — Rugged and dependable, this great World War 2 fighter was known among aircrews as the "Unbreakable". With its 2800 hp Pratt&Whitney Double Wasp engine it achieved speeds of up to 473 mph. The loaded weight of 15500 lbs included eight .50-caliber machine guns and armor plating to protect the pilot. 15,579 P-47s were built and flew 546,000 combat sorties."
