Modern luxury lies in well thought out simplicity – lines drawn along thoughts grown out of a wealth of experiences and influences. So it is with Christina Cheng’s modern classic design.
A New Yorker since 1983, Christina was born into a Navy family in Kaohsiung, Taiwan, R.O.C.. After work and travel in Germany and Europe, she was accepted at Manhattan's prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology. She completed a degree in Fashion Design at this premier New York City institution of contemporary style.
It’s easy to trace the international influences in her work. The classic shapes of Chanel, the radicalism of Jean Paul Gaultier, the sophistication of Gianfranco Ferré, and the clarity of Scandinavian design are all easily grasped in her aesthetic.
This inheritance of global influences and appreciation of beauty, harmony, and balance manifest themselves in unique and classic pieces that take advantage of the organic luster of natural materials and complement the wearer.
