With its delta wing shape and single turbojet, this aircraft was created to replace the A-1 Skyraider. Small, nimble, fast, and able to supply others of its type with fuel in mid-air, the A-4 Skyhawk remained popular in the US Navy and US Marine Corps until its retirement in 2003 and 1998 respectively.
