This bow tie celebrates the B-52 Stratofortress. In service since the 1950s, the Stratofortress is a long-range, subsonic, jet-powered strategic bomber. It has an extraordinary combat range, capable of flying over 14,000 kilometers without aerial refueling. After upgrades in 2013 and 2015, the Stratofortress is expected to fly until 2045, over 90 years after its first flight.
