Derived from a heritage of fighter planes, the F-18 can fly in myriad weather conditions, perform myriad jobs, and operate from myriad surfaces. It is a true all-purpose fighter. As well as serving in the US Marine Corps and US Air Force, it serves in the air forces of other countries. It is also flown by the US Navy's Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels.
